Our highly sought-after neutrals resolve disputes quickly, thoroughly, and economically.
At New Era, we provide white-glove neutral matching services, connecting parties directly with a diverse panel for rank & strike. Our neutrals not only possess extensive dispute leadership experience and deep industry insights. They also have been highly vetted to ensure they embody an academic progressive approach to ADR. As tenured arbitrators and mediators, our trusted neutrals carefully balance efficiency with fairness, while shepherding the parties through our rules and procedures to fully realize ADR’s efficiency benefits.
Featured Neutrals
Janice is recognized as one of the most experienced arbitrators and mediators in the United States. Prior to her ADR career, Janice was the Managing Partner of Ruiz & Sperow, a woman-owned, minority-owned law firm, and a litigator and ADR specialist with Morrison & Foerster. She served as a Judge Pro Tem for San Diego Superior Court and Hearing Officer for the Port of San Diego as well as the City & County of San Francisco.
As counsel, Janice participated in over 1000 alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Most notably, she handled two of the largest arbitration cases in U.S. history.
Jeanne was appointed by President Biden to the Federal Labor Relations Authority Federal Services Impasses Panel, a group tasked with using various tools of dispute resolution to help federal government agencies and their unions resolve collective bargaining impasse disputes. In addition, Jeanne serves on various public and private sector panels and is a Special Magistrate for the Florida Public Employees Relations Commission (PERC).
Jeanne has served as an adjunct professor at Penn State University’s School of Labor and Employment Relations, as well as the University of Arizona School of Law.
Since his retirement, Judge Ken Fields has worked as a re-call judge for both civil and criminal cases in various courts in the State of Arizona, in addition to his active mediation and arbitration private practice. Previously, he served on the Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County and served as an Army officer and Military Trial Judge for the Arizona Army National Guard Guard, presiding over Court-martials from 2010-2015.
Beginning in 2002, Judge Fields was one of three judges state-wide assigned to the Complex Litigation Court, the first paperless, electronic filing court in the State Courts of Arizona.
